The FIFA 21 version for Nintendo Switch will not have VOLTA mode, nor playable news. It will be like FIFA 19, but with updated templates.
During EA Play Live 2020, the conference in which Electronic Arts presented its news for the coming months, the company took the opportunity to show a first preview of FIFA 21 and confirm its arrival on all platforms.
However, as it comes to us from Nintendo Everything, the version of the game for Nintendo Switch will be a new Legacy Edition, just as it happened with last year’s version. This means that we can expect “an improved staging” (new menus and improvements in the graphic aspect), with “the latest equipment and updated equipment, but without new game modes or innovations in its mechanics”.
We can therefore forget everything that was already missing in FIFA 20 Legacy Edition. We will continue without VOLTA mode, without techniques such as timed finishing and without the new system of fouls and penalties. At a playable level the title will be like FIFA 19, but with updated templates. In exchange, it is to be assumed that the game does not cost the usual 60 euros and goes on sale a little cheaper. The previous Legacy Edition, for example, was launched at 44.90 euros.
And the FIFA 21 for PS5 and Xbox Series X?
The version of FIFA 21 for the other consoles will arrive on October 9 and among its first details are the confirmation that it will use the Frostbite graphics engine again and will keep the licenses of the UEFA Champions League and CONMEBOL Libertadores.
Who will be the cover of this year is unknown, but Mbappé and Liverpool have been the stars of their first trailer. EA has confirmed that the game will be cross gen and will also have a launch version for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, of which it remains to be seen its differences with the version for the current consoles and it remains to be confirmed if we can update a free one to another (will there be Smart Delivery?). What we already know for sure are the first extras to reserve the game and the contents of the FIFA 21 Ultimate Edition, revealed by the Steam product page.
U7BUY will have FIFA 21 coins prepared for Xbox, PS, PC and Switch platform in early October. FIFA 20 coins/players are still on sale for now.
